Enigmatic blocking
I am user Yoshamya (i.e. doc.Dr. A.Z.Lovric) from Croatia, also participating as the founder in Croatian Metapedia version, as its first bureaucrat and administrator, where I contributed with 2/3 of all presented texts there.
However, on April 24, 2017, I was suddenly blocked, eliminated and erased from Cro version - without any logic and reasonable explanation. Then now its new self-declated sysop & leader became 'Horouathos879' (a former Bot). Please, can you me explain what it was and why happened ? Yoshamya 23:00, 26 April 2017.
Absolutely no idea whatsoever. I did not even know we had a Croatian version (although that is to be welcomed!). Have you asked any other admins? Matt58 08:40, 27 April 2017 (CEST)
User rights
Please restore my user rights.NatAll75 (talk) 20:47, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
- You have inserted errors and harmful, false information in numerous articles as well as material that can be interpreted as pro-violence and supportive of crime. Your are likely one of several editors who have rather successfully in the past attempted to destroy Metapedia by filling it with ridiculous, unreliable, and dangerous material. Upplysning (talk) 21:12, 1 March 2020 (UTC)
All decisions to ban other users should be placed with the CEO. Matt58 (talk) 08:11, 2 November 2020 (UTC)
Could you restore my Administrator User Rights? Also it would be helpful if others did not revert my edits. I need to correct the minimization done to my articles and restore those that were deleted by Upplysning. NatAll75 (talk) 15:38, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
Urgent matter
Please contact the Swedish Bureaucrats and have them remove Upplysning. He is destroying this wiki. Once he is removed we can restore the articles he has deleted. Thanks. NatAll75 (talk) 10:02, 14 July 2020 (UTC)
Restore some pages
Could you restore pages like murdoch murdoch, kai murros, sean hannity and glenn beck, that Upplysning removed? Estellenation (talk) 15:57, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
I will have a look. If he completely deleted them it may need a Metapedia bureaucrat's expertise to restore them.Matt58 (talk) 17:05, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- I restored Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck. But the pages need some attention on the language. Try to avoid to call people (that are not jewish) Zionist unless it can be verified. --Spoof (talk) 17:30, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
Thanks. Estellenation (talk) 18:16, 23 June 2021 (UTC)
- I have come across men who describe themselves as Zionists and Feminists who are neither Jews or females. It therefore may be necessary to say that is how they describe themselves? Matt58 (talk) 09:32, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
Other pages have been all but erased, such as the French National Rally Party, despite the fact that information on such parties is highly valued by visitors to Metapedia, who do not trust the mainstream garbage. I shall have to review this and other pages to see what can be done. Matt58 (talk) 10:11, 25 June 2021 (UTC)
Could you make the pages Adolf Hitler, Richard von Coudenhove-Kalergi and Pornography unprotected? Estellenation (talk) 15:31, 6 November 2021 (UTC)
OK I have done that but as you have requested this I would ask you to to help me keep and eye on these pages for obvious reasons. Matt58 (talk) 16:55, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks. No problem. --Estellenation (talk) 21:23, 8 November 2021 (UTC)
Could you make the pages Corneliu Zelea Codreanu, Eva Braun, Nordic race and Black Lives Matter unprotected? Estellenation (talk) 11:15, 10 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks. Estellenation (talk) 18:08, 11 May 2022 (UTC)
Estellenation
Hello, Matt, do you know Estellenation personally? Upplysning "retires" 1 June 2021, on 10 June 2021 Estellenation shows up. Coincidence? His contributions in the last days: Returning articles to the way Upplysning would have liked it. Please be careful, these methods will hinder others on returning and working. Please decide together with others (if there are any), what the future of MP should look like. I have been here since 7 June 2010. Respect? Recognition? No, I am not asking for that, but it would be great, if someone who has been here for only six months does not just destroy work by pushing one undo-button ... without any discussion. --Crusader (talk) 17:03, 21 December 2021 (UTC)
- I have been active on Metapedia since 2017, on the Norwegian Metapedia (2017-2021) and then here on English Metapedia (2021-) after the retirement of Upplysning. I have only disagreed with 10 to 15 percent of the changes by Crusader so far and i am being compared now with Upplysning... I think all of us three agree that Upplysning went too far with his admin status and unnecessary reduced content on many articles and deletion of articles. But he did also some fine work like removing old Wikipedia copypaste, unclear statements, weird material and unclear copyright. I think Crusader is doing damage by undo a lot of revisions by Upplysning, some I understand but to undo everything he did is ridiculous. --Estellenation (talk) 23:29, 21 December 2021 (UTC)
I hear what you both say and I too am of the opinion that Upplysning unnecessarily deleted countless articles and subbed others badly. I had a terrible time with him because anyone who disagreed with him was instantly banned. As though he was some kind of monumental genius on every subject. This attitude brought about his demise, despite much of the excellent work he contributed. I will be happy to arbitrate if the two of you cannot reach a compromise. Just contact me. Meanwhile I will police things daily. Matt58 (talk) 11:02, 22 December 2021 (UTC)
I too am suspicious of this individual. The day I come back and correct my articles Upplysning made changes to, they are undon by Esttllenation. NatAll75 (talk) 15:56, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
- I have not undon the articles I have just removed broken links and done som improvements (looks cleaner). --Estellenation (talk) 18:55, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
Please unlock
Please unlock Brandenburgers, German Air Force, Luftwaffe, Foreign military volunteers and National Socialist Germany, and United States Air Force. I hope you can reach NatAll75, who worked hard so many years. --Crusader (talk) 17:03, 21 December 2021 (UTC)
- Please unlock, a lot of wrong information, especially to USAF. --Crusader (talk) 15:49, 23 December 2021 (UTC)
It is unblocked. Matt58 (talk) 16:38, 23 December 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks, are the rest also unblocked? Am I seeing it wrong? --Crusader (talk) 17:17, 23 December 2021 (UTC)
I think so. There are literally hundreds of blocks to be looked at. Whilst we had some good work in the past we also had a few nutters who were going to bring MP into disrepute by the outrageous and unsourced things they were posting. On top of that we had the 'personality' issues and these brought more blocks. So I will get to them all eventually. It is easier to block an individual poster than an article. Why should everyone be barred because of one person? Matt58 (talk) 17:21, 23 December 2021 (UTC)
- Please look into my article Brandenburgers, I would like to work on it on the weekend. --Crusader (talk) 17:35, 23 December 2021 (UTC)
Please unprotect Rudolf Heß! --Crusader (talk) 21:09, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
Germanic peoples
Germanic peoples is a nice article from NatAll75, which I have also worked on. Possibly protect it to avoid edit war. In no way am I "undoing everything", just a few (maybe 10, maybe 100) important articles. Thousands have been damaged, thousands forever erased. There is nothing we can do about that, but we can save the little, what is worth saving. --Crusader (talk) 02:29, 22 December 2021 (UTC)
Mobile view
I have a general question. Most vieweres today are using smartphones (android or iphone) or surfpads. Just a few uses stationary computers. Daniel Friberg installed a "mobile view" on Metapedia as seen on bottom of page. But if you open Metapedia on your smartphone you can see that the main page is totally of centre. The layout is also a bit dated.
What need to be done is to create a new Main page that fits on the smartphone. A lot of the portals also need a makeover. I think that we can get some inspiration from Wikipedia on this, using CSS and so forth. My programming skills for this is not too good. Does anyone have the programming skills or know someone that can make a new Main page and a new layout for the portals to fit both staionary and mobile view? --Spoof (talk) 13:16, 22 December 2021 (UTC)
- I am not very IT literate. So that counts me out. I do not have a smartphone, et al. I only have a very old ordinary mobile phone which I use when I am travelling. I can make and receive calls. Nothing else. I think an awful lot of people use laptops, though. Matt58 (talk) 14:01, 22 December 2021 (UTC)

Other
Whats up with User:Crusader adding the algiz rune into many articles? Is this a new policy here on English metapedia? Just curious. --Estellenation 14:35, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
- User:Estellenation could have asked User:Crusader personally. ᛉ = born; ᛣ = died. As Metapedia we go new, alternativ ways, no need to copy everything WP does. Not a new policy, not an old policy. No rules for or against it, just a special touch, which makes biographical articles very clear, especially when not using an infobox. --Crusader (talk) 20:25, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
I for one have never seen these and they mean nothing to me at all. No British or American genealogist (I see Crusader has slipped in a German genealogy reference but this is the English-language Metapedia) would know what they stood for. Maybe best to stick with recogniseable age-old things. However if you wish me to get a ruling on this I can do that.Matt58 (talk) 17:07, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
- I personally think it can be confusing to people visiting Metapedia (having runes symbols added to articles). --Estellenation 13:01, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
- Maybe get a ruling on this then? --Estellenation 14:09, 29 March 2022 (UTC)
OK. Matt58 (talk) 09:03, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- Bureaucrat's decision: runes are not part of the Latin alphabet and should not replace b. d. m. Matt58 (talk) 12:49, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
Pictures
Matt, since Midnight (c. 19 hours ago) pictures cannot be uploaded ("Could not store file "/tmp/phpFRBix5" at "mwstore://local-backend/local-public/8/89/ ..."), can you fix the situation? Thanks. --Crusader (talk) 17:27, 2 August 2022 (UTC)

Legionary Movement
Could you make the page Legionary Movement unprotected? --Estellenation (talk) 22:10, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
List of current nationalist organizations
Could you add parties to the name of this page: List of current nationalist organizations? --Estellenation (talk) 19:55, 17 August 2022 (UTC)
- It does say "and parties" in the lead description. I think to add to the already long title would be clumsy.Matt58 (talk) 13:24, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- Okay. Since most of the list is political parties it would probably have been best to include it in the title and not only in the description. --Estellenation (talk) 15:28, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
I think best to just leave it alone. 'Organisations' is a broad church. Matt58 (talk) 15:59, 19 August 2022 (UTC)
Sources
Hey Matt, just replying to your comment on my Talk page. How does Metapedia define "reliable independent source"? I looked around the site for a guide on this but didn't see one. HmmInterdasting (talk) 04:28, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- Frankly, if you need an explanation of what a reliable independent source is you maybe should think about your editing on Metapedia. Have a look at, say, Causes of World War I or the Treaty of Versailles for examples. Matt58 (talk) 08:52, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
- If you can't define the types of sources that are accepted, then you maybe should think about your admining on Metapedia. HmmInterdasting (talk) 20:59, 18 August 2022 (UTC)
Don't be a smart-alec with me. Add proper sources or be blocked.Matt58 (talk) 15:43, 19 August 2022 (UTC)

- Too bad, normally anything Upplysning has deleted (why would he do that???) can be restored with your administrator rights. Archive: Motörhead; Archive: Lemmy
yes, that is an internet web archive but as far as I can see they have been absolutely deleted from Metapedia. Upplysning was a law unto himself and never consulted anyone. Just criticised. He was perfect. Matt58 (talk) 10:04, 4 February 2023 (UTC)

- I am unaware what can be done here. Normally if you have an account on the Spanish Metapedia you would have to open a new account on the English-language Metapedia. Also as some people have "misbehaved" on other language Metapedia sites the idea of a new vetting seems good.Matt58 (talk) 13:27, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
Well... my account was created a few days ago; I did not specify the language and I thought that it could be changed without having more accounts. I was looking for an administrator so that I can register in Spanish Metapedia. Mohamed_Ch (talk) 13:50, 7 March 2023 (UTC)

- Why? Just for a space? Matt58 (talk) 11:32, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, we should also be a role model for correct grammar, right? ;-) You're the expert, not I. I have learned a lot from your corrections, that is why I was surprised to see St.Germain, not St. Germain. Am I wrong? Either St. or St (British); the British rule: If the abbreviation includes both the first and last letter of the abbreviated word, as in mister, saint and doctor, a full stop is not used. (Oxford A–Z of Grammar and Punctuation by John Seely) I personally like Dr., Mr., St., but as both rules are possible, that shouldn't be a problem. --Crusader (talk) 13:57, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
The rule is that all abbreviations have a full stop after them. For instance, Mr without the full stop is actually meaningless as in itself it is not a word. Being absolutely correct, if the abbreviation continues with a sentence (as opposed to Mr or a single word, like a saint: St) then the abbreviation should be followed by a full stop and then a comma. It is a hair-splitting part of grammar and slowly being disregarded as a majority of the population speak bad English and their comprehension is even worse.Matt58 (talk) 13:53, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
- I understand, thanks. Maybe redirect to Treaty of Saint Germain? --Crusader (talk) 14:01, 2 May 2023 (UTC)
