Style guide

Please see Metapedia:Style guide.

Suitable topics

Not all topics are suitable for Metapedia. Please see Metapedia:Content guidelines.

Wikipedia articles

  • To simply copy-and-paste Wikipedia articles to Metapedia is in general discouraged. If the topic is suitable for Metapedia, then the Wikipedia article is often biased and needs editing.
  • If you do import text from Wikipedia, please add wikipedia at the end of the article you are editing. Add wikipedia PC to the top of the article if you think that part of its content is biased and should be rewritten. This should preferably by done immediately by the person importing the text.

Categories

  • Please add categories to each new page using . Biographical articles, for example, often need categories regarding the topic they deal with, their nationality and their birth year and death year. For instance, for a Dutch philologer born in 1624 and deceased in 1699 add: . Even a bad category is better than no category (a bad one can be modified at any time later).
  • In Wikipedia articles there are sometimes sadly dozens of categories added, which Metapedia does not have, and which are often not helpful in Metapedia. Please think about whether a category is useful, and when it is, look which categories Metapedia does have, and when Metapedia does not have a useful category you want to use, you can create it and categorize the category itself. A simple way is clicking on unknown (red tinted) categories at the end of your articles you think to be expedient and to add them.

Copyright

  • Do not import copyrighted texts from other sites whose copyright you do not hold and avoid uploading copyrighted images.

Images

  • When uploading images, write a short description in the summary box; typically it is recommendable to describe the sources, for example including an entitled link or bibliographical information. You can also add an image copyright code. Such as image for Metapedia image (no copyright information) and PD image for Public domain image. See Help for more information.

Template and signing

Per firmare.PNG
  • Use the template on the upper left side of the editing window, that increases work speed. On the picture the arrow points to the sign button, the other buttons are helpful, too. Talk pages comments should be signed. It is also possible to sign using ~~~~

Your posts

Welcome to the English-language Metapedia. It is important for you to examine some of the various posts and to use the correct formats. In addition you must provide proper and credible sources. Take a look at Treaty of Versailles. Here you will get some ideas on layouts etc, sources and categories. Don't just start a page with a single line and leave it for others to do the work, as in White Lives Matter. I would also point out that contrary to what the Far-Left say about Metapedia, we are not a National Socialist site. Anything we post on this period is for historical purposes, not promotion. Thanks. User_talk:Hu1#Vandal_on_Macedonian_metapedia.

Yo should inform User talk:Aurvandil about that problem. He is able to block creating new accounts. After that it is only possible by email like the swedish, german an portuguese section. --Rauhreif 17:42, 1 July 2012 (CEST)

Brazil

You put this nonsense into the Brazil article. Why?

"Probably the first inhabitants of Brazil were of australoid as is demonstrate by a fossil called Lucy, the oldest found in the Americas." - NatAll75 09:32, 5 August 2012 (CEST)

I can't answer on your page because is blocked. What nonsense? Mostly of antropologists agree that first inhabitants of Americas could be australoids or caucasoids, before a bigger asian migration. This oldest fossil found in the Americas make it clear: [1]. --MCMLXXXII 13:09, 5 August 2012 (CEST)
Sorry for the mistake, my apologies. I see you changed Lucy to Luzia - NatAll75 15:40, 5 August 2012 (CEST)
No problem I am sorry for mistakes on translations. --MCMLXXXII 12:35, 6 August 2012 (CEST)

New Administrator

I have made you a new Administrator. Keep up the good work. - NatAll75 14:42, 6 April 2013 (CEST)

Thank you very much. --MCMLXXXII 19:35, 6 April 2013 (CEST)

Template J

I have noticed the Template J has created links to Portuguese Metapedia. Example: MI5 - NatAll75 03:39, 28 June 2013 (CEST)

You need to have <noinclude> and </noinclude> around it. Fixed. A Wyatt Man 06:54, 28 June 2013 (CEST)
Didn't realize that, thank you for fixing. --MCMLXXXII 12:08, 28 June 2013 (CEST)

Foibe

I ask you to not protect pages I created like Foibe massacres and Fiume or write communist propaganda on these pages. There is already a communist article on this theme filled with communist and croatian propaganda at wikipedia: [2]. --MCMLXXXII 21:57, 29 June 2013 (CEST)

  • Please do not apriori promote your irreal phantasies from the inverse side of globe (South America), ignoring the true situation here in Europe: - I am certainly not any "communist" at all, because these "reds" tortured and killed my father, and heavily persecuted my family up to recently. Also I am certainly not "anti-Italian" as you ad-hoc prejudiced, because my grandmother was personally Italian. Please bring your apriorist phantasies down to Earth, for a more realistic discussion if needed. --Yoshamya 17:55, 30 June 2013 (CEST)

Detonyms

I have noticed that you substituted "United Statian" for American in a recent article. This is not the accepted detonym. Does it have some significance (as for instance, in the spelling "Amerika"), or should I see fit to correct it?

The same question regarding capitalization. In the article on the Expulsion of Italians from Istria and Dalmatia, you originally didn't capitalize Italians. Detonyms are usually capitalized in English, so in the future I will capitalize them unless there's a reason not to. Julius A 03:26, 9 July 2013 (CEST)

Sorry I didn't know in english it should be capitalized. "American" is not really specific, can be anyone born between Tierra del Fuego and Groenland. Greetings. --MCMLXXXII 15:34, 9 July 2013 (CEST)

perl program to load local files onto a certain section

Please delete this from here after cut/paste, since this is internal information. Hu1 23:24, 8 January 2014 (CET)

Thank you, I will see if I can do it. --MCMLXXXII 21:21, 9 January 2014 (CET)
You have to download perl and then some modules from cpan in order to use it. If it runs once, you can save a lot of time, using it. Hu1 22:08, 9 January 2014 (CET)

Basque people

Thank you very much for accepting my request. Original European (talk) 18:34, 7 March 2014 (CET)

You welcome. --MCMLXXXII 18:50, 7 March 2014 (CET)

Jewish explusion from San Juan La Laguna

http://en.metapedia.org/m/index.php?title=Template:Current&curid=13&diff=374415&oldid=374407 That's actually old news from May. It is already in http://en.metapedia.org/wiki/Jewish_expulsions . I cannot find an update on news for this either. A Wyatt Man 07:26, 25 August 2014 (CEST)

I did see in spanish on my facebook this news from 22 August: [3]. They decided on that day that the Jews should leave. On the title it is: "Population decided that Jews should leave today". The site is from Guatemala, another site from the same country and from 23 August: [4] "People from San Juan Laguna decided to expell the jewish comunity". On the old news from May they were just asked to leave on the next months. --MCMLXXXII 14:58, 25 August 2014 (CEST)
For me it doesn't matter if it happened in May or August, what matters is that it happened in 2014. It is absolutely breaking news. We should make a featured article to support the people of San Juan La Laguna. (Galileo 19:08, 25 August 2014 (CEST)).

Do you not think we should just delete this mad discussion page altogether? Cicero 13:27, 3 June 2015 (CEST) 5

Strange editing

Many of your edits have been strange and harmful to Metapedia such as by inserting Hollywood Nazism language and claims. I removing your administrator privileges for now while analyzing your prior editing history (open and concealed). Upplysning 14:03, 30 April 2016 (CEST)

I don't really care about administrator privileges as I have no free time anymore. My concern is about removing content to replace with Wikipedia content. For "strange and harmful to metapedia", just take a look how many active users it have now (you, Nat, and Cicero). --MCMLXXXII 14:08, 30 April 2016 (CEST)
  • Explain why you inserted the weird claim that Whites in Latin America are concentrated "on Quebec and Acadia in Canada".[6] Upplysning 14:12, 30 April 2016 (CEST)
  • Explain why you removed the statements on ETA and PKK being Marxist groups that have committed terrorism. [7][8] Upplysning 14:16, 30 April 2016 (CEST)

-

Why I should explain that? You don't know geography? Biggest proportions of whites in Latin America (countries or regions where romance languages are spoken) are on the Southern Cone and on the French spoken areas of Canada. Anyway, this have nothing to do with the article " marocchinate". --MCMLXXXII 14:18, 30 April 2016 (CEST)
You did not limit yourself to romance languages but stated "People of European ancestry are concentrated on two areas, on Quebec and Acadia in Canada and on the Southern Cone" Furthermore, French Canada is not considered part of Latin America. Your general editing is the concern. Upplysning 14:32, 30 April 2016 (CEST)
  • A number of your deleted contributions was to an article called "Filipino genocide" which you created. It reads like far leftist propaganda piece with far higher claimed number of deaths than is usual and talks about "bloody imperialist interventions done by U.S.A". The contents and title give the impression of something written from a far leftist viewpoint. Upplysning 14:44, 30 April 2016 (CEST)
My friend, really, I am fascist and social nationalist and I don't fell like to explain my political views to somebody from northern europe. How can be the " Filipino genocide" be leftist propaganda? Os Armenian genocide or Greek genocide leftist propaganda? You said the number is far higher, source? What's the real number then? Where did you finded? I see you also not understand that Latin America is a broad term and definition varies by different points of viewm. I see you also have plenty time, do you work? Have family or children? Is true what people said about you on stromfront? I think you the one that have things to explain. --MCMLXXXII 15:00, 30 April 2016 (CEST)
  • And just to complete, before you this wiki had about 340.000 editions, now (after two years maybe?) It have about 370.000 or less than 30.000 editions more, with a couple of users and a reduced number of articles with reduced content, replaced with Wikipedia like politically correct content. And your articles don't match with the same articles on German or Spanish metapedia (that are much better). --MCMLXXXII 15:06, 30 April 2016 (CEST)

This edit today [9] is one example of your Hollywood Nazism-esque language and claims. Many other examples in now deleted material. I do not think restoring your administrator privileges is advisable for now. Upplysning 15:13, 30 April 2016 (CEST)

Nobody is asking or complaining about administrator privileges. The complain is about replaicing content with Wikipedia content. And what "Hollywood Nazism" claim on this article you talking about? --MCMLXXXII 15:22, 30 April 2016 (CEST)
The text you reverted to contains unsourced, offensive language and claims. This is harmful to Metapedia. The poster is lacking any source and what it depicts is unclear. Not all Wikipedia contents are probelamtic. Upplysning 15:29, 30 April 2016 (CEST)
The poster was made by Gino Boccasile in 1944 as an advert from the Italian Social Republic to defend and hide the women from colonialist troops. It depicts a african trying to rape a woman, more clear than that? The number of 60.000 women raped is the official number, it is also on the Wikipedia article: " Italian victims associations alleged that 60,000 women, ranging in age from 11 to 86". --MCMLXXXII 15:42, 30 April 2016 (CEST)
I will add this to the article. Does not change that that you previously did not state any sources and and that your text contains other unsourced, offensive language usages and claims. Upplysning 15:51, 30 April 2016 (CEST)
That's OK. --MCMLXXXII 16:03, 30 April 2016 (CEST)
