Paul Georg Alfred Bieß (26 December 1872 – 6 January 1949) was a German officer of the Prussian Army, the Imperial German Army, the Reichswehr and the Wehrmacht, finally Lieutenant General in WWII. On 27 August 1939, Tannenbergtag, he received the Charakter (brevet) as honorary Major General of the Wehrmacht.

  2. Paul and Ellen Bieß had at least one daughter, born 1929, and probably a son.
  3. 26 August 1914: Hauptmann Kerksieck (Commander of FFA 5), as observer and commandant, was killed in aircombat. His pilot was nevertheless able to crash land the aircraft because of the severe damages.
