Walter Friedrich Adolf Bergmann, since 1887 von Bergmann (1864–1950), was a German officer of the Prussian Army, the Imperial German Army and the Reichswehr as well as an honorary general of the Reichswehr after 1925 and the Wehrmacht.

Family
Walter was the son of the later Prussian General der Infanterie and Gouverneur von Straßburg Rudolf Maximilian Julius von Bergmann (1834-1908) and his wife Hermine Friederike Johanna, née Goering (b. 21 March 1844). He had two younger sisters: Margarete Friederike and Elisabeth Johanne Auguste. His father Julius was raised to hereditary nobility on 22 March 1887 by Kaiser Wilhelm I in Berlin, along with his wife and children.
Marriage
On 9 October 1900, Hauptmann von Bergmann married his fiancé Marie Luise Wilhelmine Kauffmann (b. 17 November 1874 in Danzig) in Bonn. They had two children:
- Hildegard Therese Ida Hermine (b. 4 August 1901 in Karlsruhe)
- Friedrich Karl Julius Georg (b. 2 August 1904 in Metz, Reichsland Elsaß-Lothringen).
- Friedrich Karl was drafted into military service on 22 February 1940 as a corporal, served in the 5th Company/Infantry Regiment 90, was with the 20th Infantry Division during the Battle of France in 1940 (his father visited the regiment there) and then took part took part in the Operation Barbarossa, where he earned the Iron Cross 2nd Class and the Infantry Assault Badge. On 10 November 1941, Unteroffizier von Bergmann fell (⚔) near Oleschenka on the Eastern Front. He rests in the war cemetery in Sologubovka; Final grave location: block 10, row 17, grave 2247.
