Königlich-Württembergischer Friedrichs-Orden. 2. Modell (mehrklassig – 1856–1918), Komturkreuz.jpg

The Friedrich Order (German: Friedrichs-Orden or Friedrichsorden) was an order of merit of the German Kingdom of Württemberg. It was instituted on 1 January 1830 by the second King of Württemberg, Wilhelm I, in remembrance of his father, King Friedrich I. In 1918, the end of the monarchy meant the abolition of the order. Classes: Grand Cross with Crown (WF1mKr), Grand Cross (WF1), Commander 1st Class (WF2a), Commander 2nd Class (WF2b), Knight 1st Class (WF3a), Knight 2nd Class (WF3b) and Gold Medal of Merit (WF3c).

It must not be confused with the The Frederickcross or Friedrich Cross (German: Friedrich-Kreuz), instituted in 1914 by the ruling Duke of Anhalt, Frederick II of Anhalt as a decoration not unlike the Iron Cross for merit in WWI, nor with the Oldenburg Friedrich-August Cross (German: Friedrich-August-Kreuz).
