Style guide

Please see Metapedia:Style guide.

Suitable topics

Not all topics are suitable for Metapedia. Please see Metapedia:Content guidelines.

Wikipedia articles

  • To simply copy-and-paste Wikipedia articles to Metapedia is in general discouraged. If the topic is suitable for Metapedia, then the Wikipedia article is often biased and needs editing.
  • If you do import text from Wikipedia, please add wikipedia at the end of the article you are editing. Add wikipedia PC to the top of the article if you think that part of its content is biased and should be rewritten. This should preferably by done immediately by the person importing the text.

Categories

  • Please add categories to each new page using . Biographical articles, for example, often need categories regarding the topic they deal with, their nationality and their birth year and death year. For instance, for a Dutch philologer born in 1624 and deceased in 1699 add: . Even a bad category is better than no category (a bad one can be modified at any time later).
  • In Wikipedia articles there are sometimes sadly dozens of categories added, which Metapedia does not have, and which are often not helpful in Metapedia. Please think about whether a category is useful, and when it is, look which categories Metapedia does have, and when Metapedia does not have a useful category you want to use, you can create it and categorize the category itself. A simple way is clicking on unknown (red tinted) categories at the end of your articles you think to be expedient and to add them.

Copyright

  • Do not import copyrighted texts from other sites whose copyright you do not hold and avoid uploading copyrighted images.

Images

  • When uploading images, write a short description in the summary box; typically it is recommendable to describe the sources, for example including an entitled link or bibliographical information. You can also add an image copyright code. Such as image for Metapedia image (no copyright information) and PD image for Public domain image. See Help for more information.

Template and signing

Per firmare.PNG
  • Use the template on the upper left side of the editing window, that increases work speed. On the picture the arrow points to the sign button, the other buttons are helpful, too. Talk pages comments should be signed. It is also possible to sign using ~~~~

Your posts

Welcome to the English-language Metapedia. It is important for you to examine some of the various posts and to use the correct formats. In addition you must provide proper and credible sources. Take a look at Treaty of Versailles. Here you will get some ideas on layouts etc, sources and categories. Don't just start a page with a single line and leave it for others to do the work, as in White Lives Matter. I would also point out that contrary to what the Far-Left say about Metapedia, we are not a National Socialist site. Anything we post on this period is for historical purposes, not promotion. Thanks. Wikipedia

Thanks for the great additions to Wikipedia article you have made. --Doktor Faustus 2 March 2008

I second that! The article, Antifascist massacres is excellent. Look forward to more contributes by yourself. CHM8318 - March 25 2008 - 09:35 (GMT)

Genomic Europeanism

The article Genomic Europeanism is bullshit. It has no references and has great mistakes. It says that some of the oldest peoples in Europe like Rumanians, Greeks and Armenians has only 65%, 59%, and 62% European genes, but Hungarians who came from Asia has 84%. ??!!??!! The word gene itself is from Greek language. Countries which received a big non European migration can not have a high level of European genes. Germany has 3 milions of Turks, and 10 milions of emigrants, France is metis and England has many people from India, Pakistan and its former colonies. It is a weird article. Someone is interested to tell lies. Kirghyz (Mid-Asia): Eu 67% (Rb1 0%, Ra1 65%, I1 3%), Neu 33%  ??????? Tadjiks (Mid-Asia): Eu 74% (Rb1 4%, Ra1 68%, I1 2%), Neu 26%  ??????? The article does not tell how was made the reseach, how was chosen the subjects for tests, and nothing about the references. Stop uploading this kind of articles which have no credibility. -- Dadas 08:48, 2 June 2009 (CEST)

Wikislavia

Are you aware, if the articles from Wikislavia will be ported to Metapedia? --DasGewisseEtwas 19:09, 21 May 2010 (UTC)

Could you please update the article Wikislavia and its demise? - NatAll75 20:02, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Persistent troll

We have a persistent troll registering new accounts with Metapedia. Your assistance is needed over the next few days. - NatAll75 00:23, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

From time to time English Metapedia has this problem. Usually it is just one individual that wants to cause mischief. Other times a group attacks when English Metapedia receives some media attention. We just need to watch “recent changes” and revert any damage. Thanks for you attention to this problem. - NatAll75 07:26, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

We also had on 15 June an image-damaging troll in action in the Hungarian section. Image recreation is a pain on metapedia (in opposite to page recreation). Could you maybe also help us to identify the troll? Hu1 08:21, 16 June 2010 (UTC)

Croatian Metapedia link

The Croatian section link on English Metapedia does not work. However Greek Metapedia does link to Croatian Metapedia. Can you fix this problem? - NatAll75 08:46, 19 September 2010 (UTC)

Foibe

I ask you to not protect pages I created like Foibe massacres and Fiume or write communist propaganda on these pages. There is already a communist article on this theme filled with communist and croatian propaganda at wikipedia: [2]. --MCMLXXXII 21:57, 29 June 2013 (CEST)

  • Please do not apriori promote your irreal phantasies from the inverse side of globe (South America), ignoring the true situation here in Europe: - I am certainly not any "communist" at all, because these "reds" tortured and killed my father, and heavily persecuted my family up to recently. Also I am certainly not "anti-Italian" as you ad-hoc prejudiced, because my grandmother was personally Italian. Please bring your apriorist phantasies down to Earth, for a more realistic discussion if needed. --Yoshamya 17:48, 30 June 2013 (CEST)
The fact is that the pages will not be protected, if you not like something you are pleased to go to the discussion page. --MCMLXXXII 17:52, 30 June 2013 (CEST)
