Police state
The term police state in itself implies only the presence of a police but is usually interpreted negatively as referring to a government that without appropriate legal constraints exercises power arbitrarily through the police. It often implies the presence of a secret police.
History
A police state is a state in which the government exercises rigid and repressive controls over the social, economic, and political life of the population. A police state typically exhibits elements of totalitarianism and social control, and there is usually little or no distinction between the law and the exercise of political power by the executive. The inhabitants of a police state experience restrictions on their mobility, and on their freedom to express or communicate political or other views, which are subject to police monitoring or enforcement. Political control may be exerted by means of a secret police force which operates outside the boundaries normally imposed by a constitutional state.[1]
United States
In 2012, a 16-year-old-boy who was a Ron Paul supporter uploaded a YouTube video as a school project questioning whether the United States was slipping into a police state. Using the NSA's system of spying on all electronic communications, they immediately sent an FBI swat team who busted down his door and raided his home as a result. They then tried to recruit him as an informant to bust Occupy Wall Street protesters. They also asked him what he spoke to his teacher about regarding "The Illuminati" and spoke with his teacher.[2][3][4]
On 23 August 2013, Blaine Cooper, aged 33, wrote on Facebook complaining that the United States was turning into a police state. Due to the XKeyscore program monitoring all internet activity, within hours of writing it, Prescott Valley Police Department Officer Jason Kuafman contacted him and told him he would need to come down to police headquarters to be interviewed by the FBI or they would raid his home and seize all his computers and electronic equipment which he may never get back. He then went down to the station and was interviewed for 45 minutes by the FBI.[5][6][7][8][9]
On Friday the 13th, September 2013, the EPA dressed in police paramilitary outfits, went door to door in an Alaskan town SWAT team style, busting down doors just to check the water quality.[10]
The USA routinely uses speeding tickets as a hidden tax that is the least efficient way to do it as for every $1 raised, $99 goes to higher insurance premiums, police expenses, cost of crimes due to police not doing real police work, court costs, legal issues when police complain about quotas, etc.[11][12][13] They also use private companies to give automated traffic light and speeding tickets, and it turns out quite often these companies photoshop the evidence.[14]
In August 2013, they even banned a 4 year old girl from having a vegetable garden because she didn't get a permit to grow food and used natural seeds instead of government-approved Monsanto-genetically engineered seeds.[15]
In October 2013, a 15-year-old boy went streaking on a dare, the normal thing kids do on dares, and the school expelled him and put him on the sex offender registry for life. The child cut his lifetime branding as a sex offender short by killing himself.[16][17]
At some point around 2013, parents in the United States are not allowed to send lunches to school with their children anymore unless the child has a doctor's note.[18][19]
In Texas, if you lose your speeding ticket, you will be arrested, and then strip-searched before being sent to jail.[20]
Since 9/11, police in the USA have killed more people than soldiers who died in the Iraq War.[21]
The USA also every so often has no-knock police raids on the wrong address for minor things such as expired vehicle registration and during these raids, they will always shoot-to-kill any dogs in the victims' home.[22]
In 2009, due to Google's autocomplete feature, a man accidentally searched for how to make a bomb. The NSA then have been harassing the man nonstop ever since.[23]
In 2012, an undercover cop harassed a mentally disabled child in ways such as sending him over 60 text messages in a weekend harassing him to buy marijuana. When the child accepted, the officer then raided the child's home storming in with a SWAT team with a violent raid and completely trashed their home. The officer then made the child a convicted felon and put him in prison for years.[24]
February 20, 2013, mestizo Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Deputy Joseph Quiles was driving drunk and hit an innocent white woman Tanya Helena Weyker. The mestizo officer then filed a false report and said Weyker was drunk. The police station soon learned the officer was the one drunk and lying about it, but they did nothing, hid the video of the incident, and continued to falsely blame the seriously injured woman who now had a broken neck.[25][26][27]
In March 2014, a large police SWAT team of several vehicles and officers armed with automatic weapons terrorized college dorm a looking for plastic sword.[28]
The US government has kill switches to shut off all cell phones remotely.[29]
Since 9/11, many corrupt police have gone around "seizing" (by definition robbing) any large amounts of cash they found in people's homes or cars.[30]
Urinals are savage, barbaric inhuman ways for males to urinate of which female privilege means never having to deal with that. Many times NYPD police have been arresting men for shaking off after urinating at urinals.[31]
UK
In October 2006, 14-year-old Codie Stott at Harrop Fold High School in Worsley, Greater Manchester was in a science group with five recently-arrived Asian pupils of whom only one spoke English. It was the teacher who made her go in their group to begin with. Codie had, "I asked the teacher could I change groups because I didn't understand them and she said I was being racist and started shouting at me." The teacher began screaming, "It's racist, you're going to get done by the police," put her in an isolation cell, called the police on her. A week later Swinton police came and arrested her for racism and hate crimes, took her to the police station, fingerprinted her, took mugshots, illegally took a DNA sample, and then put her in a jail cell for three-and-a-half hours! Police also removed her jewelry and shoelaces.[32][33][34]
The UK has also prosecuted a 10-year-old boy for calling a Pakistani a "Paki".[34] In another case, Jamie Bauld from Cumbernauld, Scotland, a teen with Down’s syndrome who had the mental age of a five-year-old, pushed an Asian girl on the playground in a fight and in September 2007 he was charged with “racial assault”.[35]
In 2007, a person videotaped Muslims giving sermons inciting to violence against non-Muslims. The person who videotaped it was charged by the police and Crown Prosecution Service for “stirring up racial hatred” against Muslims, while the preachers were given the green light to keep doing it.[36]
44-year-old Neil Phillips from Rugeley, Staffordshire posted on the internet, "My PC takes so long to shut down I’ve decided to call it Nelson Mandela." It wasn't even his original joke, but one he copied from elsewhere. On September 10th, British police stormed his home in a pre-dawn raid, shot his dog, roughed him up, robbed his computer which they kept for three weeks, kidnapped him, forcibly took his fingerprints and DNA, and then interrogated him for eight hours. It's unknown what they spent eight hours interrogating him about when he merely copied and pasted a joke. The police department has refused to comment on the case to the press.[37][38]
England has done similar things after the Woolwich attacks when people complained of either immigrants or Muslims online.
The USA increasingly loves to use SWAT teams. Even a brother and sister fighting and one hit the other with a boat paddle results in the SWAT team storming in like terrorists.[39]
