Style guide

Please see Metapedia:Style guide.

Suitable topics

Not all topics are suitable for Metapedia. Please see Metapedia:Content guidelines.

Wikipedia articles

  • To simply copy-and-paste Wikipedia articles to Metapedia is in general discouraged. If the topic is suitable for Metapedia, then the Wikipedia article is often biased and needs editing.
  • If you do import text from Wikipedia, please add wikipedia at the end of the article you are editing. Add wikipedia PC to the top of the article if you think that part of its content is biased and should be rewritten. This should preferably by done immediately by the person importing the text.

Categories

  • Please add categories to each new page using . Biographical articles, for example, often need categories regarding the topic they deal with, their nationality and their birth year and death year. For instance, for a Dutch philologer born in 1624 and deceased in 1699 add: . Even a bad category is better than no category (a bad one can be modified at any time later).
  • In Wikipedia articles there are sometimes sadly dozens of categories added, which Metapedia does not have, and which are often not helpful in Metapedia. Please think about whether a category is useful, and when it is, look which categories Metapedia does have, and when Metapedia does not have a useful category you want to use, you can create it and categorize the category itself. A simple way is clicking on unknown (red tinted) categories at the end of your articles you think to be expedient and to add them.

Copyright

  • Do not import copyrighted texts from other sites whose copyright you do not hold and avoid uploading copyrighted images.

Images

  • When uploading images, write a short description in the summary box; typically it is recommendable to describe the sources, for example including an entitled link or bibliographical information. You can also add an image copyright code. Such as image for Metapedia image (no copyright information) and PD image for Public domain image. See Help for more information.

Template and signing

Per firmare.PNG
  • Use the template on the upper left side of the editing window, that increases work speed. On the picture the arrow points to the sign button, the other buttons are helpful, too. Talk pages comments should be signed. It is also possible to sign using ~~~~

Your posts

Welcome to the English-language Metapedia. It is important for you to examine some of the various posts and to use the correct formats. In addition you must provide proper and credible sources. Take a look at Treaty of Versailles. Here you will get some ideas on layouts etc, sources and categories. Don't just start a page with a single line and leave it for others to do the work, as in White Lives Matter. I would also point out that contrary to what the Far-Left say about Metapedia, we are not a National Socialist site. Anything we post on this period is for historical purposes, not promotion. Thanks. I am not sure if I totally understand how all this works yet, but am going slow.

I would like for Sword of Michael to contact me, as I have not figured out how to contact Admin.

Have been active for quite some time, and want to be of any help I can.

If this post is not correct, please, let me know.

Introduction

Hello Johan. When you type something on a talk/discussion page, you should put a dash, your user name linked (like this: - Johan, or at least like this User:Johan), and then the date. On your user page you asked how to post photos. To add an image to a page you first need to upload it to the site if it hasn't already been uploaded (there is a link for that on the left side of any page under the "toolbox" list), and then you need to use the right format when typing in the code text. You also need to place the code at the right point; where you want the picture. The way I personally learned how to do things was by imitating what was already done on previously completed pages. You may have done something like that on the Anti-Liberalism page when you added the quote from DeSilva. Overall, the way things work is like they work on Wikipedia, so if you know how to do things there you should be fine here. I should also mention that there are other administrators around here which are very active such as Hu1 and NatAll75, who you can speak when I'm not around. It's probably best if you ask them for technical help, because they seem to know even more than I do. - Sword of Michael 11:02, 2 December 2012 (UTC).

Thank you.

Yes, I will be able to figure this out, but one of the real reasons I needed to talk with you, or someone like you, was that I wanted to 'correct' the spelling on Mr. DeSilva's name - it is a Capital 'S', and not lower case; this is not a major issue, but I simply wanted to make it as correct as possible.

Thanks, again, for your time. - Johan 8:55, 2 December 2012

Yes, the S is supposed to capitalized, so it is just as how you spelled it there. Also, when posting something in a talk, you should actually put your name and date at the end of your comment. I moved it for you. - Sword of Michael 17:58, 2 December 2012 (UTC).

Whidbey Island

Hello Johan, I noticed you started the article on National Martyrs Day. In one of the books on The Order--I believe written by a journalist in Denver--it was implied that someone was with Bob Mathews on Whidbey Island and surrendered before the FBI began their assault. In your research do you know who that person was and what role did they play in the trials? - NatAll75 01:55, 31 March 2013 (CET)

Thanks,NatAll75, for the question:

The person, a young man, was Ian Stewart, son of Sharon Merki.

His age at the time is uncertain, but from what I have gathered, he was twenty-one or under.

Ian Stewart was, to my knowledge, not present at the events in Seattle, Wa.

Robert Mathews, in typical fashion, sent this man out, away from danger, to save his life. - Johan 21 April 11:55

Thanks for the information. - NatAll75 02:42, 22 April 2013 (CEST)

Contributions

I am unable to 'add' a contribution to White nationalism, as the Page seems blocked.

I unprotected the article (Galileo 00:50, 28 April 2013 (CEST)).

Thanks. (Johan) 4:00 pm (EST)

I am unsure where to Post this, but wanted to be clear:

On the page White Nationalism, I deleted Two (2) entries in Bibliography, as both entry's, while I am sure are superlative Works, are not specifically 'white nationalist' political theory, nor do they support, in a purely philosophical or experiential way, the political Tenets of this political introduction into the world of ethic-nationalism, as a Political construct.

Mr. Tort, for example, while being intelligent and focused in his own world-view, has consistently pilloried the use of 'white nationalism', as he he has, with much justification, pointed out the often misleading and spurious use of this term by many 'individuals' who seek the power of this phenomenon for their own ends; however, with that said, Mr. Tort addition is without a certain political substance, at first blush.

Let it be said, that I have not read this work, but having read his Blog for several years, feel confident that Mr. Tort might just as well find or create a section on Metapedia for his Works, and add to the discussion of 'white nationalism' on an as needed basis, like is done as a matter of course.

As to the Second deletions, and No disrespect to the Goddess (vesicus pices), nor the value of 'energies' from the metaphysical realms, once again, it is important to promote the political agenda of 'White Nationalism'.

It seems, in the above case, that a discussion of the Metaphysical spiritual or religious dogma might also be done on a separate page, so as to not over-burden the new visitor with the obligatory cacophony of those far-flung introductions of these kinds.

Thanks to the Metapedia community, for all you are doing.

This should be on the talk page of the White Nationalism. I will put a copy of the text there. (Galileo 08:14, 4 November 2014 (CET)).
