Thomas Sewell
Thomas Sewell is an Australian nationalist, leader of the European Australian Movement, and founder of the Lads Society. He is known for his association with other prominent Nationalists, and for daring to mention the changing demographic of Australia.
Background
Sewell was a soldier in the Australian army. During his time enlisted Lee Rigby, an army drummer in the United Kingdom was beheaded by a Muslem terrorist. Following the incident, he claimed that his company sergeant major came warned his unit that Muslims in Australia were planning similar style attacks on Australia military members, and that if one were to occur, they should board up the windows and hid under the tables and call Northern Territory police. Sewell claimed that it was this incident where he realized that "the fish stinks from the head down" and that he "could not be a part of this institution anymore" and that "all my instincts where telling me that this is, that there are traitors deep, so deep within the system, and that my instincts were telling me to do something else"[1]
In March 2021, a report on so-called far-right extremism by A Current Affair was aired. An hour before the report was aired, Sewell and an accomplice arrived at the Nine Network office in Melbourne and demanded to speak to staff regarding the program. After being told to leave the premises, a physical altercation occurred between Sewell and a security guard after the security guard attempted to physically remove Sewell's associate (after commanding him multiple times to not film on private property). The incident was filmed and later posted on social media.
Victoria Police's counter-terrorism command charged Sewell with affray, recklessly causing injury and unlawful assault.[2]
Religion
In a Telegram post dated September 28, 2023, Sewell claimed that "...I am not a Christian, I am a White Nationalist. I describe my religious belief as being Aryan, the path of the upward life force, it that is not tied to any set of politics or formulated church doctrine, but is closest to Hitler's teaching of National Socialism and William Luther Pierce's Cosmotheism."[3]
