Friedrich Lebrecht von Trotha (15 February 1841 – 22 December 1914) was a German officer of the Prussian Army, finally Generalmajor (Major General) and commandant of the military training area in the Senne (Paderborn, Regierungsbezirk Minden, Province of Westphalia).

Family
Friedrich was the eldest son of the Prussian Major General Friedrich August von Trotha (1812–1868) and his wife Klara Bianka Wedeline, née von Carlowitz (1815–1896).[1] He had four siblings.[2][3]
Marriage
On 23 September 1873 in Baden-Baden, Captain von Trotha married his fiancée Hedwig Klara Marie von Brandt (1852–1920). They had three sons:[4]

- Maximilian Thilo (b. 3 September 1878 in Spandau; d. 22/23 October 1943 during the RAF raid on Kassel),[5] Major (among other things service with the Schutztruppe) and Knight of the House Order of Hohenzollern with Swords in WWI; Operations Director of Kasseler Verkehrs-Gesellschaft AG.
