Development Assistance Committee
The Development Assistance Committee is a forum in the OECD to discuss financial aid and wealth transfer from the developed countries of the Anglosphere, Europe, Japan and South Korea, to developing countries.

History
Initially known as the Development Assistance Group (DAG), the committee was set up on January 13th 1960. The first meeting took place in Washington D.C. on March 9th to 11th in 1960. The original members were Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, the United Kingdom and the United States. Japan and the Netherlands joined soon after.[1]
