Style guide

Please see Metapedia:Style guide.

Suitable topics

Not all topics are suitable for Metapedia. Please see Metapedia:Content guidelines.

Wikipedia articles

  • To simply copy-and-paste Wikipedia articles to Metapedia is in general discouraged. If the topic is suitable for Metapedia, then the Wikipedia article is often biased and needs editing.
  • If you do import text from Wikipedia, please add wikipedia at the end of the article you are editing. Add wikipedia PC to the top of the article if you think that part of its content is biased and should be rewritten. This should preferably by done immediately by the person importing the text.

Categories

  • Please add categories to each new page using . Biographical articles, for example, often need categories regarding the topic they deal with, their nationality and their birth year and death year. For instance, for a Dutch philologer born in 1624 and deceased in 1699 add: . Even a bad category is better than no category (a bad one can be modified at any time later).
  • In Wikipedia articles there are sometimes sadly dozens of categories added, which Metapedia does not have, and which are often not helpful in Metapedia. Please think about whether a category is useful, and when it is, look which categories Metapedia does have, and when Metapedia does not have a useful category you want to use, you can create it and categorize the category itself. A simple way is clicking on unknown (red tinted) categories at the end of your articles you think to be expedient and to add them.

Copyright

  • Do not import copyrighted texts from other sites whose copyright you do not hold and avoid uploading copyrighted images.

Images

  • When uploading images, write a short description in the summary box; typically it is recommendable to describe the sources, for example including an entitled link or bibliographical information. You can also add an image copyright code. Such as image for Metapedia image (no copyright information) and PD image for Public domain image. See Help for more information.

Template and signing

Per firmare.PNG
  • Use the template on the upper left side of the editing window, that increases work speed. On the picture the arrow points to the sign button, the other buttons are helpful, too. Talk pages comments should be signed. It is also possible to sign using ~~~~

Your posts

Welcome to the English-language Metapedia. It is important for you to examine some of the various posts and to use the correct formats. In addition you must provide proper and credible sources. Take a look at Treaty of Versailles. Here you will get some ideas on layouts etc, sources and categories. Don't just start a page with a single line and leave it for others to do the work, as in White Lives Matter. I would also point out that contrary to what the Far-Left say about Metapedia, we are not a National Socialist site. Anything we post on this period is for historical purposes, not promotion. Thanks. South Africa portal template

Hello, on the South Africa portal template, can you replace the picture of Terre'Blanche with this Image:Flag of the Afrikaners.png. I can't find the address of the template. Basileus 17:04, 13 December 2013 (CET)

I put it :) --Bulgarian 17:19, 13 December 2013 (CET)
Thanks. Basileus 17:21, 13 December 2013 (CET)

Bulgarian metapedia

You do not have a metapedia in bulgarian, you should start it. --MCMLXXXII 19:24, 25 January 2014 (CET)

I'll be glad to start, but do not know who to ask.. I'll be doing a lot better if I write in Bulgarian :) --Bulgarian 20:11, 25 January 2014 (CET)

The modules have them in Wikipedia, check again. Module:Math I will wipe unused. If needed, then it can create :) --Bulgarian 10:46, 23 May 2014 (CEST)
The extension module executes Lua modules. See: http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Scribunto and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Lua
Wikipedia allows modules only in the English section at present.
I am pretty sure, metapedia has no such extension. You can ask in http://nordisk.nu metapedia forums. Hu1 10:32, 24 May 2014 (CEST)
Aha... Surely there will be no such problems if Metapedia added new version of Open Source Software. Would do well to do and Bulgarian version. I will translate many articles about prominent personalities of other versions of Metapedia. At the time of me it's hard to create an article without copy it somewhere. --Bulgarian 11:41, 24 May 2014 (CEST)
Well, my observation is, that we are poor people and have minimal resources. This is true also for the Swedish administration team. However, it makes definitively sense, when you, as an experienced user go into the nordisk.nu metapedia forum, and tell your wishes. Also in email to the international metapedia admin team. We also had letters from other, good looking Bulgarian activists, who wish a Bulgarian section. Hu1 14:00, 24 May 2014 (CEST)
All in good time :) --Bulgarian 14:05, 24 May 2014 (CEST)

Mass creation of empty categories

You have mass created numerous empty categories. This makes the recent changes list difficult to read, takes some space in the Metapedia database, and there seems to be little value in having a very large number of empty categories. Upplysning 17:09, 24 November 2014 (CET)

I agree, but I want everything to be categorized because the articles are hard to find. I wish Metapedia add new version of MediaWiki. I speak Bulgarian, and it's hard to make articles in English, and therefore look to contribute any way I can. Another would be if there was a version of the Bulgarian language. Greetings! --Bulgarian 21:45, 24 November 2014 (CET)
Please stop the useless addition of mass categories. - NatAll75 21:55, 24 November 2014 (CET)
Okay! --Bulgarian 21:57, 24 November 2014 (CET)

Bulgarian Metapedia

Try sending an e-mail to the international staff: info (at) metapedia.org. Upplysning 19:25, 15 February 2015 (CET)

Thank you! I'll see if I can :) --Bulgarian 12:18, 16 February 2015 (CET)

Recent history

You can read all about it in the past history of Upplysning talk page. - NatAll75 02:47, 20 February 2015 (CET)

Aha.. It would be better not to get there. --Bulgarian 02:54, 20 February 2015 (CET)

Interesting links

Thanks! Surely there are other interesting materials to serve the Metapedia. I read most things. Hitler has taken good measures to increase the birth rate and purity of the white race. Nowadays, I notice that countries like Germany, Italy and Japan have one of the lowest birth rates in the world, i think this is not accidental. The white patriotic organizations and parties must unite and organize a vigorous campaign to promote the birth rate among the white people. Metapedia can also contribute to this. Not everything is money. Regards :) --Bulgarian 13:52, 2 March 2015 (CET)
A few more on this page are in Bulgarian [2] [3] - NatAll75 23:28, 2 March 2015 (CET)
I did not know there were so information on this site. Thanks! Many sources can be taken for Metapedia :) But better to be sources of patriotic sites. As a whole would do well to expand the articles in the English section and categorized. --Bulgarian 00:29, 3 March 2015 (CET)
If there was a version of the Bulgarian language, will contribute much :) --Bulgarian 22:53, 4 March 2015 (CET)
