Style guide

Please see Metapedia:Style guide.

Suitable topics

Not all topics are suitable for Metapedia. Please see Metapedia:Content guidelines.

Wikipedia articles

  • To simply copy-and-paste Wikipedia articles to Metapedia is in general discouraged. If the topic is suitable for Metapedia, then the Wikipedia article is often biased and needs editing.
  • If you do import text from Wikipedia, please add wikipedia at the end of the article you are editing. Add wikipedia PC to the top of the article if you think that part of its content is biased and should be rewritten. This should preferably by done immediately by the person importing the text.

Categories

  • Please add categories to each new page using . Biographical articles, for example, often need categories regarding the topic they deal with, their nationality and their birth year and death year. For instance, for a Dutch philologer born in 1624 and deceased in 1699 add: . Even a bad category is better than no category (a bad one can be modified at any time later).
  • In Wikipedia articles there are sometimes sadly dozens of categories added, which Metapedia does not have, and which are often not helpful in Metapedia. Please think about whether a category is useful, and when it is, look which categories Metapedia does have, and when Metapedia does not have a useful category you want to use, you can create it and categorize the category itself. A simple way is clicking on unknown (red tinted) categories at the end of your articles you think to be expedient and to add them.

Copyright

  • Do not import copyrighted texts from other sites whose copyright you do not hold and avoid uploading copyrighted images.

Images

  • When uploading images, write a short description in the summary box; typically it is recommendable to describe the sources, for example including an entitled link or bibliographical information. You can also add an image copyright code. Such as image for Metapedia image (no copyright information) and PD image for Public domain image. See Help for more information.

Template and signing

Per firmare.PNG
  • Use the template on the upper left side of the editing window, that increases work speed. On the picture the arrow points to the sign button, the other buttons are helpful, too. Talk pages comments should be signed. It is also possible to sign using ~~~~

Your posts

Welcome to the English-language Metapedia. It is important for you to examine some of the various posts and to use the correct formats. In addition you must provide proper and credible sources. Take a look at Treaty of Versailles. Here you will get some ideas on layouts etc, sources and categories. Don't just start a page with a single line and leave it for others to do the work, as in White Lives Matter. I would also point out that contrary to what the Far-Left say about Metapedia, we are not a National Socialist site. Anything we post on this period is for historical purposes, not promotion. Thanks. Settings

  • 1.To protect a page click on PROTECT option, then go to EDIT and click on SYSOPS ONLY. For a better protection click too on cascading protection.
  • 2.If an article is vandalized go to HISTORY option, and then click ROLL BACK. If the vandals are 2 or more, edit the last posting which was not vandalized, COPY it, go back to the main page of the vandalized article, edit it, and PASTE over the vandalized version, and save the page.
  • 3.If an article does not have a proper protection, its settings were only default or block unregistered users , it must be protected again. So go to protect option, click on SYSOPS ONLY in EDIT Section and tick off unlock move permissions . -- Dadas 09:25, 29 May 2009 (CEST)

Protecting

Hello, After today's attack I saw, you protected several pages, and attacker could still modify the protected pages. The point is, one must make sure, in both windows (left and right) the sysops-only entry is active. Otherwise attacker can still modify. Thanks, Hu1 03:52, 16 February 2010 (CST)

AIDS article

I have heard of this argument that HIV does not cause AIDS being that some who have HIV do not have AIDS symptoms and those who have the symptoms do not show the virus. The Metapedia article should show both arguments of this controversy. Michael Fumento was one of the first to counter the AIDS hysteria of the 1980s. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Fumento

Hope this helps NatAll75 07:54, 18 December 2011 (CET)

I agree to show up both sides. However let me point out that the evidence against the official claims is not pseudo-scientific at all[1][2]. That's why there are 3 Novel Price winner scientists who ruined they careers to join the dissidents. The reason for the pharmaceutical lobby to promote the HIV-AIDS relation, isolate and go after the skeptics is this: "From the 1990s until 2009, funding for the AIDS epidemic increased substantially. In 2008, an estimated $15.6 billion was spent on HIV/AIDS"[3].--Derzeeman 16:21, 18 December 2011 (CET)

That's not what I'm saying. If you read the documents and rebuttals you'll find that there are top level scientists contending these photos are not HIV. The virus was not isolated. Some researchers believe that HIV exists but it doesn't cause AIDS. The governments spend billions that go to scientists who support HIV causes AIDS and that's why there is a conflict of interests.--Derzeeman 16:45, 18 December 2011 (CET)

I disagree the text you added: "The South African government, for example, didn't recognize the current infectious theory about AIDS. According to some studies, such positions have increased the amount of diffusion AIDS in South Africa." That's what Wikipedia says, but in Africa, black people is diagnosed as having AIDS just for having fever and pneumonia for a month. It is automatically deemed AIDS. The number of infected people depends rather on "models" than statistics. After the government ceased to administrate drugs the lobby artificially increased the number of affected people (they just increased the number of disease "considered" as AIDS). However the total rate of deaths (for any disease , related or not with AIDS) was not affected, which is tearing down the official theory.--Derzeeman 17:19, 18 December 2011 (CET)

Never mind as I mentioned, I agree to show both sides (I'm not fanatic of anything). Anyway I was wondering what "Bh3u4m" means?--Derzeeman 17:26, 18 December 2011 (CET)

European race vs. White race

There was a fairly long discussion of this on the talk before and most seemed to agree that it is belongs at European race. "White" makes it sound like its just based on a skin-tone definition, rather than something more rooted with a general homeland. I would argue that there is an Americanism aspect to its usage over European race as well. - Basileus 17:02, 27 December 2011 (CET)
