Socialist Reich Party
The Socialist Reich Party (German: Sozialistische Reichspartei Deutschlands) was a West German nationalist political party founded in 1949 by Otto Ernst Remer. It was a split-off from the German Right Party (German: Deutsche Rechtspartei).
The party is claimed to have seen itself as the "legitimate heir of the Nazi Party" and to have been funded by the Soviet Union because of anti-American and pro-Soviet views. Affiliated associations were the Reichsfront paramilitary organisation and the Reichsjugend youth wing, which were banned in 1951. The party was banned in 1952.
