Otto Helmut Lebrecht von Trotha (31 January 1839 – 9 June 1916) was a German officer of the Prussian Army, finally Generalmajor (Major General) and commandant of Glogau (Province of Silesia) as well as fidei commissioner of the estate Goldschau (Fideikommissherr auf Goldschau) as of 1904.[1]

Family
Otto was the son of lord of the manor 2nd Lieutenant (ret.) Franz Ulrich von Trotha (1806–1860), Ducal of Anhalt Chamberlain, Royal Prussian Government Assessor as well as Member of the Prussian House of Representatives., and his first wife (∞ 1838) Agathe Dorothea Wilhelmine Rosamunde, née Freiin von Maltzahn (1810–1845). He had eight siblings, six were from his step-mother, his father's second wife (∞ 1847) Zelina Wilhelmine Renate Mathilde Tugendreich, née von Berg (1829–1915).[3]
Marriage
On 9 July 1886 in Pinnow near Schwerin, Major von Trotha married his fiancée Karoline Alexandrine Gustave Luise Wilhelmine Freiin von Maltzahn (b. 15 December 1858 in Pinnow; d. 21 September 1945 in Alsleben an der Saale).[4] The marriage remained childless.
