Erdmann
Erdmann is a German given name as well as surname. The first name "Erdmann" has its roots in Old High German and is composed of the words "erda" (earth) and "man" (man), meaning "man of the earth" or "earthman." It can also be considered a shortened form of the name Ertmar or a variation of Hermann. In some cases, the name was also used as a counterpart for Adam, since Adam was also created from earth.
