Heinrich Helmuth Otto Eduard Bruno Freiherr von Steinaecker (also Steinäcker; 30 November 1818 – 26 December 1896) was a German officer of the Prussian Army, finally honorary General der Infanterie (Charakter als General of the Infantry) and Adjutant General of two German Emperors. After his retirement in 1884, he was put to disposal (z. D.) of the Prussian Army and stayed Adjutant General.

Family

Eduard was the son of Colonel Franz Christian Heinrich Wilhelm Freiherr von Steinaecker (1780–1822), commander of the 7. Infanterie-Regiment (2. Westpreußisches), and his wife Adelheid Friederike, née von Wolff (1787–1875). He had three brothers.[2]

Marriage

On 30 November 1860 in Hamburg, Major Freiherr von Steinaecker married his fiancée Emily Wilhelmine Feldt (1838–1897).[3] Their children were:
