Battlecry as of 2006

Battlecry (also BattleCry) was a pro-white Heavy Metal duo from Kingston, New York from 2004 to 2011. Its members were David Johnn and Richard "Spartan" Stewart.

History

Battlecry was formed in 2004 in response to a lack of Heavy Metal representation in the music of the pro-white movement. Over the span of 20 years, the members had played in many bands, even operating a commercial recording studio for some time.

We hope those of you who purchase the Battlecry CD's enjoy the direction we are taking in spreading the Pro White message. And we hope you in turn continue to spread this message, for together we are strong.

Actually, the only pro-white appearences in the Metal scene have been those of National Socialist Black Metal, which is quite different from classical Heavy Metal. Battlecry has received a huge support on Stormfront forums, as many of its users like Heavy Metal music.

It must not to be confused with:

  • Battlecry (Heavy Metal from Nicholasville, Kentucky)
  • Battle Cry (Heavy Metal from Monterey, California; post-Attak)
  • Battle Cry (Power Metal from Colorado Springs, Colorado w/ Hans Masanetz and Trevor Lane)
  • Battlecry (Hard Rock/AOR from Los Angeles, California)

The track Warrior's Eyes was written for Paul Fromm, a Canadian activist for freedom of speech, and concerns his campaign against thought criminalization and suppression of politically incorrect opinions made by most governments in Europe and in Canada. Keepers of the light track is a result of a collaboration between Battlecry and Prussian Blue. Hot Gates of Hell is about the fight between the Spartan warrior Leonidas and the Persian king Xerses. It features the famous sentence: Go tell the Spartans, stranger passing by, that here, obedient to their laws, we lie whose narration was performed by Kevin Alfred Strom. Immigrant Song is a cover of Led Zeppelin.
