Barack Obama birth controversy
The Barack Obama birth controversy first arose in the 2008 presidential election. It had been claimed that Barack Obama is not a 'natural born American citizen' and was born in Kenya. If this is the case, he would be a usurper and according to the United States Constitution ineligible to be the President of the United States. The question was settled for many when he finally released his long form birth certificate in April 2011 indicating he was born in Hawaii.

Newspaper birth announcement
On August 13, 1961 an announcement appeared in the Hawaiian paper Sunday Advertiser under the "Births, Marriages, Death" section which read: "Mr. and Mrs. Barack H. Obama, 6085 Kalanianaole Hwy., son, Aug. 4." The Internet news site WorldNetDaily investigated the address and found that no one who lived on that street remembers a Black baby being born to a White mother in 1961. Also no evidence has appeared to prove the Dunhams--Obama’s White grandparents--ever lived at that address. [1]
Associated Press reports Obama Kenyan-born
The Associated Press reported on his 2004 Illinois Senate campaign and described him as being Kenyan-born. [1]
Kenyan birth certificate
A copy of what is claimed to be Barack Obama’s Kenyan birth certificate appeared on the Internet in August 2009.[2] The document was released as part of a lawsuit challenging Barack Obama’s eligibility to be President of the United States. His place of birth is listed as Coast General Hospital in Mombasa, Kenya.
California attorney Orly Taitz said the document came form an anonymous source who wishes not to be identified because "he's afraid for his life."[3]
Hawaii birth certificate
The Hawaii birth certificate lists his race as "African" which was not used as a racial term in 1961. Instead they used "negro". Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio's Team Arpaio has found that birth certificates from the time used the term "negro".[4][5][6]
Mysterious death of director who released his birth certificate
Loretta Fuddy, who released Obama's alleged "real" birth certificate in Hawaii died a few years later on December 12, 2013 in a mysterious plane crash near Hawaii. Everyone else in the plane crash survived, leaving only her dead.[7][8]
