Talk:Königsberg
Added the link to the German language version. According to the German language version the city was destroyed by British terror bombing, but according to the English language version the city was destroyed by the Soviet Union. This needs to be looked into. (Galileo 21:51, 5 May 2013 (CEST)).
- No, English and German versions say, Königsberg was mainly destroyed in the nights of the 26 and 27 August 1944 by british bombing terror. The city burned for days. The "Festung Königsberg" was taken by the Soviets in 1945, but they just destroyed most of the remains. -Crusader 22:24, 5 May 2013 (CEST)
- Still I think it is interesting to look into this clear discrepancy between both version, because the English version does not mention terror bombing and the German version does. (Galileo 22:27, 5 May 2013 (CEST)).
- Of course it does, see here and here. -Crusader 22:36, 5 May 2013 (CEST)
- You now give links to Bolshevikipedia. But I was of course talking about the article Königsberg on Metapedia. And the current version of this article does not mention "British terror bombing", while the German version does and this discrepancy is strange. (Galileo 22:39, 5 May 2013 (CEST)).
- Oh, now I understand ... I'm working on that right now! -Crusader 22:47, 5 May 2013 (CEST)
