  • Alfred Hans Petri (1877–1945), German officer, knight of the Pour le Mérite and General of the Infantry in WWII
  • Elfride Petri (1893–1992), German economist and wife of Martin Heidegger
  • Gustav Petri (1888–1945), German officer as well as veteran of WWI and WWII, finally colonel of the Wehrmacht
