Ervin Kohn

Ervin Kohn (b. 1955 in Hungary) is a Jewish religious leader in Norway.

Life

Kohn's family emigrated from Hungary to Norway in 1960. He grew up in Grorud in Oslo and lived in Israel for part of his childhood.

Kohn was the President of the Jewish Community in Oslo for 13 years, until 2023.[1] He worked for the The Norwegian Centre Against Racism (Antirasistisk Senter) between 2013 and 2021.[2]

Kohn has often been interviewed as a representative of the Jewish minority in Norway and engaged in the public debate on freedom of speech, hate speech and multiculturalism.
