Born Lendrum De West Murrelle Jr. changed by adoption to DeWest Hooker[1] also West Hooker and Wes Hooker (June 14, 1918- September 22, 1999) was an associate of and lobbyist for George Lincoln Rockwell, the founder the American Nazi Party. Hooker convinced Rockwell that an open ‘Nazi’ approach would be needed in facing the Jews directly.

Before Hooker met Rockwell, he recruited youths in New York City forming the National Youth League.[2] Later he organized the Nationalist Party of the U.S.A. in 1954 to push the Republican Party further to the right.[3] Hooker originally thought to take over the National Renaissance Party in New York but found the group had been thoroughly infiltrated by Jewish interests.[4]

In 1953 Hooker hosted "Facts Forum", a nationalist guest-speaker event based in Larchmont, New York.[5]

In 1952 became an independent film producer owning several companies.[6]

In 1957 Hooker left the US to own and manage a 7- Up franchise in northern Italy.[7]

In the past he produced syndicated television programs.
