Xenophon
Xenophon (c. 430 - 354 BC) was an Ancient Greek historian, philosopher, solider, and military commander.
As one of the "Ten Thousand" (Greek mercenaries), Xenophon participated in a failed campaign to claim the throne of the Achaemenid Empire, marching deep into hostile territory and then, despite being greatly outnumbered, managing to return to Greece.
