Tutankhamun, also spelled Tutankhamen and Tutankhamon, original name Tutankhaten, was a king of Ancient Egypt, reigning 1333–23 BC. He is known chiefly for the discovery of his not plundered tomb.

Stated to have been revealed by mistake in 2010, there are disputed claims that Tutankhamun belonged to Y-DNA haplogroup R1b1a2, which is common in Western Europe and present also in many other regions, stated to have expanded from the Caspian Sea along with the Indo-European languages.
