Triumph of the Will (German: Triumph des Willens) is a 1935 pro-National Socialist movie made during the early years of National Socialist Germany. The movie depicts four days during the 1934 Nuremberg Rally, which was attended by more than 700,000 supporters. The movie contains excerpts from speeches given by National Socialist leaders, interspersed with footage of massed Sturmabteilung (SA) and Schutzstaffel (SS) rallies and public reaction. The movie had a variety of innovative filming techniques and was directed, produced, edited, and co-written by Leni Riefenstahl. Riefenstahl won several awards, not only in Germany but also in other countries. Triumph of the Will has continued to influence films, documentaries and commercials to this day.
