National Rally
The National Rally (French: Rassemblement national, RN) was established in June 2018 and is the heavily redesigned successor party of the Front National. The nationalist party in France is mostly known for it's struggle for French and European identitarianism as well as for free speech but also for the party's opposition to mass immigration from racially alien countries.
History
The original party was founded in 1972 with Jean-Marie Le Pen as the party's first leader. His daughter Marine Le Pen succeeded him in 2011, softening the party's position on various issues combined with pandering to Israel. French politician Jordan Bardella has been the president of the National Rally since 5 November 2022, after serving as acting president from September 2021 to November 2022 and as vice-president from 2019 to 2022. Bardella was their top candidate for the office of Prime Minister in the early parliamentary elections in 2024.
