Non-overlapping magisteria

Non-Overlapping Magisteria is a concept which claims that both science and religion have their own fields of expertise and that each one should not interfere in the "Magesteria" of the other. The concept was invented by Stephen Jay Gould and supposedly resolves the conflict between science and religion.
