On this page we determine which articles are to become featured articles. The featured articles represent Metapedia's very best work and satisfy the featured article criteria. All editors are welcome to review and comment on nominations.

When an article after review and voting has been deemed qualified for a featured article classification, insert {{featured}} in the article, to properly mark and categorize it as featured.

Rules for nominating and voting

  • The user who nominates an article cannot participate in the voting.
  • Provide a detailed explanation for the nomination.
  • To support a nomination, put your signature on a separate line below Supports, followed by your reason(s), which should be based on a full reading of the text. If you have been a significant contributor to the article before its nomination, please indicate this.
  • To oppose a nomination, put your signature on a separate line below Opposes, followed by your reason(s). Each objection must provide a specific rationale that can be addressed. Reviewers who object are strongly encouraged to return after a few days to check whether their objection has been addressed. To withdraw the objection, strike it out (with ... ) rather than removing it.
  • If a nominator feels that an Oppose has been addressed, they should say so after the reviewer's signature rather than striking out or splitting up the reviewer's text.
  • If you want to provide constructive input on a nomination without specifically supporting or objecting, write a comment below Discussion followed by your advice.

  • A nominated article becomes a featured article if...
    • ...it has been nominated in at least four weeks and
    • ...has received at least five supporting votes and
    • ...these constitute at least 66 % of the total number of votes or
    • ...that it after two weeks has received only and at least ten supporting votes.
