Hugo Boss
Hugo Boss AG, often styled as BOSS, is a German luxury fashion house, founded in 1924 by Hugo Boss (1885 – 1948).
Originally, it produced general purpose clothing. It produced uniforms for the NSDAP and the Wehrmacht. Hugo Boss himself joined the NSDAP and various associated organizations. He is claimed to have used forced laborers during the war. In a 1946 judgment, he was stripped of his voting rights, his capacity to run a business, and fined "a very heavy penalty". However, Boss appealed, and he was eventually classified as a ‘follower’, a lesser category, which meant that he was not regarded as an active promoter of National Socialism.
