Equity

Equity, a word related to equality, has had and has various meanings, but more recently the word has become increasingly used among the politically correct, apparently often meaning that society should have equality of outcome, rather than equality of opportunity.

It is implicitly a form of genetics denialism, implying that since all groups and possibly all individuals are assumed to have equal (psychological) genetics, then the outcomes should be equal in a just society.

Supporters claim that (by force) "closing" the "racial equity gaps" will cause enormous benefits, but if the genetic denialism assumption is incorrect, then the opposite may instead occur. See, for example, the Affirmative action article on various already occurring negative effects for affected organizations, with the demanded "equity" changes being far more extensive.

Other usages of the word include as a euphemism for reparations.
