Coon

Coon is a racial slur against Black people having an uncertain origin. One possible origin for "coon" comes from the Portuguese word for slave pens or barracks "baracoons".

Coon music or coon songs were performed in minstrel shows made-up of Black and White singers in Black face makeup. [1] The shows were popular from the 1880s to 1940s in America.
