Christian Defense League
The Christian Defense League (CDL) was founded in 1964 by Wesley Swift in California. The first National Director of CDL selected by Swift was Richard G. Butler who would later lead Aryan Nations. In 1973 Butler moved to Idaho and the league was taken over by James K. Warner. Warner moved the organization to Louisiana and later merged it with his New Christian Crusade Church.
