BlazeBirth Hall is an organization of Russian NSBM bands. Its bands are the oldest NSBM bands in Russia, with their beginnings dating back to 1994.

History

The bands Branikald, Raven Dark, Forest and Rundagor exist and have their demos since 1994, the year when the very first signs of black metal subculture started to appear in Russia. Most of the bands from the so-called first wave of Russian black metal were born in 1995-1996 (one or two years after the BlazeBirth Hall bands). All BlazeBirth Hall bands come from small provincial town in the middle Russia, where there are no metal or underground activities at all. BlazeBirth Hall, at the beginning of its creation, stayed extremely isolationistic, and its members created their music and lyrics for their very own circle, which consisted of just a few close allies.

The first CDs were released by AK-47 Productions from Hungary; they released the first albums of Branikald and Rundagor, and BlazeBirth Hall started to get known outside of its town and Russia. Later, all the CDs were re-released on Stellar Winter Records. The main person behind BlazeBirth Hall is Kaldrad Branislav, who is both a vocalist and musician, and plays almost all of the instruments in many of the bands. Ulv Gegner Irminsson was a co-founder of the circle, with Raven Dark as his main band. He was murdered on the night of October 23rd of 2005. Yggradssil and Wotansjolv were new solo-projects of Kaldrad and Ulv Gegner, but they are currently on hold.
