A variation of the occult hexagram adapted as a symbol of Wicca.

Wicca is an occultic and paramasonic movement, which claims to be a continuation of medieval witchcraft and also uses some imagery derived from Celtic paganism. The two main intellectual founders of the movement can be regarded as Margaret Murray and Gerald Gardner, both of whom had been associated with The Folklore Society in London. Gardner really began Wicca after the Second World War, though there is a somewhat ambigious mythology about a New Forest Coven, which allegedly began in 1939. Gardner was also involved in freemasonry, the OTO and Rosicrucianism.
