Thompson Roy Zachary (July 18, 1887 - April 14, 1949)[1] was a former lumberjack and the national organizer for William Dudley Pelley’s Silver Shirts.

Roy Zachary was from Asheville, North Carolina and moved to Washington state to replace Frank W. Clark as state leader. He was later brought back to Asheville by Pelley and made "Field Marshal" and second-in-command of the Silver Shirts. In 1938 Zachary reportedly said that if no one else was prepared to assassinate President Roosevelt, he’d do it himself.[2]

Zachary died on April 14, 1949 in Seattle, Washington from an apparent heart attack.[3]
