Realpolitical Institute was founded in Chicago around November 1954 by Maynard Orlando Nelsen (Max Nelsen). The officers of Realpolitical Institute were: Eustace C. Mullins, Max Nelsen, Edward Fields and Matt Koehl. Other officials were listed as Fred Kister and Catherine Eden.[1] [2] The group used the Thunderbolt symbol on their letterhead.[3] [4] Their political slogan was "Whiteman Awake--The Hour is Late!"

By 1959 the group apparently reorganized itself becoming the Institute for Biopolitics and issued a four page publication called Frontier.[5]
