Integration

Integration etymologically means "making whole" and the term has several different meanings in different fields. In the cultural sense, integration can refer to a particular strategy for dealing with a non-homogeneous society. See the article on multiculturalism for a further description.
"Integration" and "forced integration" may more narrowly be used in the context of "desegregation". See the segregation article on this.
