The Oath More Judaico (Latin for "Oath on/by Jewish custom"), also know as the Jewish Oath, was a special form of oath that Jews previously were required to take in certain courts of law. It was accompanied by certain ceremonies, often involving claimed Jewish customs, meant to make the oath stronger. The question of the trustworthiness of certain oaths by Jews was intimately connected with the meaning that Christian authorities assigned to the Jewish Kol Nidre statements regarding the validity of certain oaths by Jews.
