Mozambique

Mozambique is a country on the coast of the Indian Ocean in Africa. It was a colony of Portugal from 1500 for 475 years, until independence on 25 June 1975. Its major northern port of Beira was the Indian Ocean railway terminus for Southern Rhodesia and Northern Rhodesia and, ultimately, for the line from Benguela in Portuguese Angola.
