Llywelyn the Great
Llywelyn the Great (c. 1173 – 11 April 1240), full name Llywelyn ap Iorwerth, was King of Gwynedd in north Wales and eventually ruler of all Wales. By a combination of war and diplomacy, he dominated Wales for 45 years.
