Johanna Olson-Kennedy
Johanna Olson-Kennedy MD is a pediatrician in the Division of Adolescent Medicine at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Medical Director of the hospital’s Center for Transyouth Health and Development.[1]
Personal Life
Johanna Olson-Kennedy is married to Aydin Olson-Kennedy, a licensed doctor, clinical social worker and therapist, who specializes in transgenderism. Both Aydin Olson-Kennedy and Johanna Olson-Kennedy are political and social advocates for youth transgenderism and transgender acceptance.
Career
Johanna Olson-Kennedy currently runs the most active gender clinic in the United States at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. She received funding from the NIH in the amount of nearly $6 million to provide puberty blockers and opposite sex hormones to children as young as 8 years-old. [2]
Controversy
In October 2024, Dr. Johanna Olson-Kennedy was accused of suppressing a health research project regarding puberty blockers which was funded by the National Institutes, and valued at $10 million, over her concerns that the study showed puberty blockers didn’t help mental health. The accusations have been lodged by fellow researchers and Boston College clinical and research psychologist Amy Tishelman.[3][4][5]
