James Buchanan
James Buchanan Jr. (23 April1791 – 1 June 1868) was the president of the United States from 1857 to 1861.
(Leftist) historians tend to rank the presidents during the period before the American Civil War very low, and many rank Buchanan as the worst president in American history, but succeeded by the best president in American history, Abraham Lincoln.
