Henry is a masculine given name derived from Old French Henri / Henry, itself derived from the Old Frankish name Heimeric, from Common Germanic *Haimarīks (from *haima- "home" and *rīk- "ruler").

Heinrich

In Old High German, the name was conflated with the Germanic name Haginrich (from hagin "enclosure" and rich "ruler") to form Heinrich (sometimes also: Hainreich, Heimerich, Haganrich, Hendrik) , meaning "master of the house", but also "prince of the homeland" or "ruler of his kingdom" (short: Hein, Heine, Heini, Heinar, Heiner, Heinz, Hinz, Heiko, Heino, Henne, Henno, Hinner, Hennes, Hinrich). Heinrich, Karl (Karlmann), Otto, Friedrich and Wilhelm are the most common names of German rulers since the early Middle Ages. Female forms of the first name include "Henrike" and "Henriette". Heinrich can also be a surname.
