Sexually transmitted infections (STIs), also referred to as sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), are infections that are commonly spread by sexual activity. One example is the "Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome" or AIDS respective HIV or "Human Immunodeficiency Virus" (de), another Syphilis.
