Grace Keefe
Grace Keefe (born ca. 1899) was one of the founders of We, the Mothers, Mobilize for America. She later founded her own group and became the national secretary of the Women’s League of Political Education. The group consisted of women voters in 22 states organized along congressional districts. The group's headquarters and her home were located at 6209 South Laflin Street, Chicago.
Life
In 1939, before she became politically active, Grace Keefe gained national attention by winning an essay contest sponsored by a national radio network. Her essay was titled What is America’s Greatest Need? In 1944, she demanded a negotiated peace with National Socialist Germany. In July 1945 she testified against the ratification of the United Nations Charted before the United States Senate. In 1949 she sued Avedis Derounian for libel who wrote about her under the penname John Roy Carlson in his bestseller Under Cover.

Grace Keefe was the mother of nine children.
