Deutsche Zeitung für Canada
Deutsche Zeitung für Canada was a German language pro-National Socialist newspaper published in Winnipeg, Canada. The paper was launched on June 12, 1935 by Heinrich Seelheim who was the German Consul for western Canada. Bernhard Bott was the editor.
History
The paper appeared each Wednesday containing international news and local features. Many of the news articles came from the German News Bureau, an agency which was controlled by Goebbels's Propaganda Ministry; also the Foreign Press Office in Munich contributed articles. During the period of 1937-38, the paper's circulation was around 6000.
