Deity
A deity is a god, goddess, or other supernatural, superhuman being considered divine (sacred, holy, worthy of worship).
Philosophy
Philosophically, "God" means the principle of origin required in thinking, a boundary concept that points to the basic philosophical experience of the mystery and questionability of the world and leads from the sphere of science to that of faith and ethics. "God" is also sometimes seen as the final principle, the highest stage of development, the creator of humanity, of life itself or of nature. His existence is partly justified by the fact that everything that exists in a functional way must also have a cause.
Agnosticism is a philosophical or religious position characterized by uncertainty about the existence of a god or any gods but does not deny that a "higher power" might exist. Atheism, on the other hand, is the strict rejection of belief in the existence of deities.
