Allen Gardens Park riot
The Allen Gardens Park riot occured on May 31, 1965 when John Beattie and members of the Canadian Nazi Party were confronted by five thousand protesters at the city park of Allen Gardens in Toronto, Canada. Eight Jews, later charged with rioting, mistakenly attacked members of a motorcycle club that had nothing to do with the rally. Beattie was charged with unlawful assembly since he did not have a permit to hold a demonstration.
