Ōishi Yoshio (大石 良雄?, April 24, 1659 – March 20, 1703) also referred by Ōishi Kuranosuke, was a Japanese samurai and leader of the 47 rōnin of the 1702 vendetta against Kira, and thus the hero of the Chūshingura.
